Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026

This policy explains how Nurest collects, uses and protects your personal data. We are committed to being transparent about what we do with your information and why.

1. Who we are

Nurest is operated by Nurest Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17260557. Our registered address is Unit 19-20, Bourne Court Southend Road, Woodford Green, United Kingdom, IG8 8HD.

We are the data controller for all personal data collected through nurest.co.uk.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@nurest.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Your email address and marketing consent when you join our waitlist or sign up for marketing communications
  • Your name if you provide it through a contact form or customer account
  • Any message content if you contact us directly
  • If you purchase from us in future: your name, billing address, delivery address, order details, payment status and customer service history

Information collected automatically

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Referring website or source

We collect some of this information through cookies and similar tracking technologies. See our Cookie Policy for full details. Non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are only used where you have given consent through our cookie banner or Shopify customer privacy settings.

3. How we use your data

Email marketing and waitlist

If you join our waitlist or subscribe to marketing communications, we use your email address to send you updates about Nurest, our products and our launch. We only do this where you have given us specific, freely given consent by ticking the consent checkbox on our sign-up forms, in accordance with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). We use Shopify's customer and marketing tools to manage waitlist sign-ups, store consent records and send email updates where you have consented. Where available, this may include the email address submitted, the date and time of sign-up, the source of the sign-up and the consent wording shown at the time.

Website analytics

We use website analytics to understand how visitors use our site and improve its performance. Where possible, we use aggregated or anonymised information. Some analytics information may be linked to device or cookie identifiers rather than directly identifying you.

Processing orders and customer service

If you purchase from us, we use your details to process your order, arrange delivery, handle returns and provide customer support.

Responding to enquiries

If you contact us directly, we use your contact details and message content only to respond to your enquiry.

4. Our legal basis for processing

  • Consent — for email marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email we send, or by emailing hello@nurest.co.uk. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Contract — to process orders, payments, delivery, returns and customer service where you buy from us.
  • Legitimate interests — for website analytics, fraud prevention and improving our service, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required by law to process your data.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, including:

  • Shopify — website, e-commerce and customer/email sign-up platform. Shopify helps us operate our website, manage customer records, process sign-ups and support email communications. Where Shopify processes personal data on our behalf, it does so under its contractual data processing terms.
  • Payment providers — if you make a purchase, payment details are processed securely by Shopify Payments and/or our selected payment providers. We do not store full card details.
  • Delivery and fulfilment partners — if you make a purchase, we share delivery details so products can be shipped to you.
  • Analytics and cookie providers — website usage, performance and marketing data where permitted by your cookie choices.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where necessary for legal, accounting, regulatory or compliance reasons.

All third-party providers are required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms recognised under UK GDPR.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Email marketing data — retained while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending marketing emails and may retain a limited suppression record to ensure we respect your unsubscribe request.
  • Customer and order data — retained for as long as necessary to fulfil your order, manage customer service, meet legal and accounting obligations and resolve disputes.
  • Contact enquiries — retained for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, unless we need to keep it longer for legal or business reasons.
  • Analytics data — retained according to the settings of the relevant analytics platform and, where possible, in aggregated or anonymised form.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for marketing at any time without detriment

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@nurest.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would always prefer the opportunity to resolve any concern directly first — please contact us at hello@nurest.co.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify email subscribers directly.
